Dairy-Free and Egg-Free Substitutions for Your Soft-Baked Keto Cookies

We know that not everyone makes their Keto and Co products with the same ingredients. Here’s a quick guide to see the best ways to make your soft-baked chocolate chip cookies dairy and egg free! You can apply these same ingredients to your other favorite Keto and Co baking mixes as well.

Dairy-Free:

What You’ll Need:

-1 bag of Keto and Co Chocolate Chip Soft-Baked Cookie Mix

-¾ cup vegan butter of your choice or melted coconut or avocado oil

-3 eggs, beaten

Egg-Free #1:

What You’ll Need:

-1 bag of Keto and Co Chocolate Chip Soft-Baked Cookie Mix

-⅓ cup Just Egg Substitute

-¾ cup unsalted butter, melted (if vegan, use dairy-free substitute above)

Egg-Free #2:

What You’ll Need:

-1 bag of Keto and Co Chocolate Chip Soft-Baked Cookie Mix

-¾ cup applesauce*

-¾ cup unsalted butter, melted (if vegan, use dairy-free substitute above)

*Please note that applesauce adds 1.5g-3.0g net carbs to each cookie. This is not the best low-carb substitution but is a great egg swap for someone living a vegan or plant based lifestyle.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Whisk together all of the ingredients until smooth dough forms.
  3. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press to flatten to about ¼ inch thick. Shape if desired. (Pro-tip: use wet fingers to press so they don’t stick)
  4. Bake for 9-12 minutes and enjoy!
